Optimizing Data Quality and Range
You’ve got a tricky deployment with lots of obstructions and RF interference and would like to improve data quality and range of your sensors? We’ve designed the KUBE GATEWAY as flexible as possible as we know two deployments are never the same. This guide will help walk you through some methods to do so.
Try to minimize the distance between your gateway and sensors
Try to minimize the amount of objects blocking the line of sight between gateway and sensors.
When mounting the sensors, try orienting them towards the gateway for better reception.
Try using some higher gain 2.4GHz antennas on the gateway, our KUBE GATEWAY has a SMA female connector that can accept a wide range of RF cables, antennas and accessories.
Try using a directional antenna pointed towards the sensors to increase range and data quality.
Try using external RF amplifiers inline with the antenna to boost signal power for hard to reach areas.
If the gateway is placed inside an RF blocking cabinet, try placing an antenna outside and connecting it via an SMA cable.
